Looking through my pieces, I came across my first pieces that I made (left click on heading). 2006 was when I borrowed my buddy Don’s scroll saw and started making intarsia. It was a Ryobi and the only blades were pinless, but the set screws for the blades were missing. I bought pinned blades and started cutting. They were very hard to cut the pieces because they were so wide, but I bought the saw and forged on. I finally made screws to tighten in the pinlesss blades but not being the right ones the blades were hard to install. The blades were #2 & #5 Olson blades, very fine. I eventually bought other blades but never did have the proper screws to tighten them in. I used the Ryobi until it finally wore out, and a couple of years ago I purchased a DeWalt DW788. Changing the blades is a breeze now, and the lifting arm sure is great. So I guess I will continue to make saw dust and wood art.
